Research Experience
Data determination of HQET parameters in inclusive charm decays
08/2023 - 09/2025
- Theoretical derivation: Within the HQET and OPE framework, I derived analytic formulae for decay widths and normalized electron-energy moments in inclusive charm decays, including high-dimensional operator effects. Numerical validation was carried out as part of the same derivation pipeline. The NNLO contribution used in the final analysis was provided by Prof. Long Chen at Shandong University.
- Data processing: I implemented the infrared-end extrapolation of the electron spectrum measured by BESIII collaborators and used Monte Carlo simulation to recover electron-energy moments from the full spectrum. This part of the work was carried out in collaboration with Prof. Dong Xiao at Lanzhou University.
- Phenomenological analysis: Using the extracted moments together with available experimental inputs, I performed a phenomenological analysis to constrain HQET non-perturbative parameters in inclusive charm decays. This part of the study was completed independently by me.
Weak-Annihilation Decays and Lifetimes of Beauty-Charmed Baryons
04/2022 - 08/2022
- Using Heavy Di-quark Effective Theory (HDET) and OPE, I studied weak-annihilation contributions to the (\Xi_{bc} \to X_{cs}) channel and their dependence on the mixing angle.
- This project formed part of my undergraduate thesis, in which I independently completed part of the analytic derivation.
